We used it to help train our dog not to bark, but it could be easily used on neighbor dogs that bark at you, or for protection, like when dogs bark at us and jump on the fence from neighboring yards around the park. It is important to read the instructions, understand and use it correctly. At first we were a bit confused, because this does not work like a bark collar. And there are three modes, once you figure it out you can decide what works best for your situation. We used the silent mode with a word command and our dog stops barking. The instructions are very helpful and explain it’s usage and training techniques very well. It’s easy to use, charges quickly and fits well in your hand or pocket. We are glad we tried it and will continue to use it.
